Megan Thee Stallion / Traumazine
Megan Thee Stallionの2年ぶり、メジャー2作目。着実に実力と名声を獲得してきていて、前作あたりで、最強Female Rapperの1人まで成りあがった感があるが、当作でもその勢いを維持している。
タイトルにあるように自身の抱えるトラウマに焦点を当てているようだが、特に暗いということはない。全体感としてサウス色強めな印象ではあるが、後半にかけて、Jhené Aiko⑬, Lucky Daye⑭、Dua Lipa⑱とVocal Guestのフィーチャー曲は、どれもメローでポップ。⑭なんかはMary J. Bligeを髣髴させる。⑤ではハウスも取り入れている。
また、Producerが多数で、前作との被りが少ない割には、とちらかってないのはMeganの個性の強さによるものだと言えそうだ。もちろん、
押し出しの良いRapは凄みを増していて、安定感をも感じることができる。
