Carlifornia出身, 1985生まれのRapper, Nipsey Hussleのメジャーデビューアルバム。Epic時代に不遇な時を過ごし、その後、Indyでブレークしての、最近では遅めのデビューとなる。Chart Actionも好調で、Grammyノミネートまでこぎつけている。
最近売れ線のHip-Hopでは珍しく、West SideのシリアスでストレートなRap作品だが、適度にTrendを取り入れていて、懐古趣味的にはなっていない。豪華なGusetが目を引くが、そこに埋もれない力強いRapは好感が持てる。
ちなみにArtist名は黒人コメディアンのNipsey Russelからとっているらしい。
